Career Background

John has a very diverse and unique background.

He passed the CPA examination and worked in public accounting for eight years. He ran a 150+ employee company as General Manager for five years. He was the VP of Marketing of a $10MM finance company for two years… Yes – he’s one of those accountant/manager/salesman/marketing guys! (I’ll bet you didn’t even know they existed!)

That’s why, when he found business coaching, he found the “perfect mix” for his talents! Now he helps small business owners make ALL of their systems better – and thus making his clients’ lives better.

He is currently coaching business owners on a full-time basis, and has had tremendous successes with every one of his clients. He is also very active in his community. He is a Past President of the local chapter of Toastmasters International, has taught Junior Achievement business class at two local schools, is the President-Elect of the Jackson Township Rotary Club, and is an active member of two local Chambers of Commerce.

John is a life-long resident of Northeastern Ohio, and has lived in Cleveland, Canton, and Youngstown, as well as working in Akron. He is married to Sharon Deagan, and has three children – Kevin, Katie and Tyler Deagan. He spends his free time being “the best Daddy in the whole-wide world,” coaching his children’s sports teams, rooting for Cleveland sports teams, and constantly reading and learning.
